Forecasting OptiComb

Welcome to my home page

Since 1981 I am professor at the University of Applied Sciences Augsburg (FHA),  Department of Computer Science.
Until 2005 I have taught a range of courses: software engineering, COBOL, business applications (inventory control) project management.

In the past, I have developed standard software at Siemens in the field of inventory control and management science and participated in numerous consulting projects for more than 13 years.

My current interest and research includes new methods of demand  forecasting and inventory control. In the last years I developed and wrote the software packages HORDIS (inventory control) and OptiComb (forecasting system) which are successfully implemented in numerous warehouses. I do occasional consulting work (training, support and customizing of HORDIS and OptiComb) which is focused on the german market.
